In yesterday’s Stack I mentioned Donald and Elon taking $80 million of congressionally approved FEMA funds from NYC. The comptroller released a statement and the referenced post had only part of the statement. The rest of the statement read: “New York City cannot take this lying down. I call on the Mayor to immediately pursue legal action to ensure the tens of millions of dollars stolen by Trump and DOGE are rightfully returned. If instead Mayor Adams continues to be President Trump’s pawn, my Office will request to work in partnership with the New York City Law Department to pursue aggressive legal action.” (Full statement here.) Wow, NOW it makes complete sense why Donald recently dropped the federal corruption charges for the Democratic mayor of NYC, Eric Adams! It’s his typical quid pro quo.

Terrifying, dangerous, unhinged, threatening, especially to be talking about with them.

Oh boy. Fallout from Donald ordering dismissal of charges from corrupt Democrat mayor of NYC, Eric Adams.

Danielle R. Sassoon, the acting U.S. attorney for SDNY, is a well respected prosecutor who was a member of the Federalist Society and had clerked for the late Justice Antonin Scalia. Source here. From Ryan’s NBC source below: “After her office refused to drop the charges, Justice Department officials sought to move the case to the agency's Public Integrity Section in Washington, which oversees all federal public corruption cases, multiple sources said.” When the case went to DOJ, the other two quit. Acting US Deputy AG, Emil Bove (Donald’s personal attorney, so no conflict of interest or anything) threatened them with this: "The Justice Department will not tolerate the insubordination and apparent misconduct reflected in the approach that you and your office have taken in this matter," Bove wrote. "Your office’s insubordination is little more than a preference to avoid a duty that you regard as unpleasant and politically inconvenient." And he promised to investigate them. Oy! There were quite the threads from both Acyn and Aaron Rupar with the comments and videos from Donald about how great Russia is today.

Because I see unsourced lists on social media of how Donald is like Hitler, I asked Kara Swisher (highly educated, well published journalist and podcaster who specializes in misinformation and propaganda) for resources to anything she had done on the subject that could verify or disprove the unsourced claims. She responded with this podcast with Professor Timothy Ryback who has degrees up the ying yang and who has written multiple books on Hitler. This latest one was done differently. He put out his mind all his education/training about socialism and Hitler and just started reading (from July 1932 forward) the Daily Press (newspaper of the time), daily diaries, and meeting protocols, etc., during that brief six months between what events led to Hitler’s rise to power and the Holocaust. It’s an hour long and I normally don’t listen to podcasts, but I’m transcribing this one, half way through and it’s worth sharing.

Speaking of Kara, she posted a response from Elon’s baby mama #438? (I’ve lost count) about her four year old that Elon admittedly uses as a prop.

OK, that’s all I can take today. We had to go to town (45 minutes away) for appointments and groceries. It was 10 below zero at 9 a.m. Gotta feed the animals and get dinner going now and see if I can feel normal for an hour or so. Tomorrow I’ll have to tell you how my GOP Senator responded to my concerns about Elon having my personal information.
